LAD#15 Gettysburg Address

Lincoln begins with his famous line "Fourscore and seven years ago". He then goes on to talk about the founding father and the establishment of the United States. He then goes on to say that the Unites States is great because all men are created equal, and that the us was put to test with the civil war. Following he says that many lives were lost and that the nation would deduce the land in Gettysburg to the people who fought and perished in the war. He wanted to make sure that the men who died fighting in this war didn't not die in vain. It was important that Lincoln that the people did not die without making an immersion on the people of America. Then stating that the United States will have to work hard to preserve the Union.
