LAD #16 Frederick Douglass' 5th of July Speech

In his speech Frederick Douglass explain what independence really means to an African American Slave in America. He goes on to say that not all men are created equal and not all men are free. He expresses his distress that blacks don't have the same rights and freedoms as whites do, therefore on the Fourth of July blacks have nothing to celebrate. He ends his speech by wishing that everyone black or white will be granted the same civil rights.
