LAD #17 Sojourner Truth's "Ain't I a Woman"

Sojourner Truth beings by comparing herself to a white women, she compares and contrasts the differences in their roles. She goes on to say that white women are treated with kindness and resepect but society doesn't treat black women in that manner. She then denounces men for believing that women can't have the same rights because Jesus was a male. She says that Christ was brought into the world by a woman, quoting "If the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alonethese women together ought to be able to turn it back, and get it right ids dup again!".
