LAD #19 Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address
Lincoln began his address by referring to his first, and how he stated that the country was on the brick of war and he was going to do everything in his power to avoid one. He then went on to state that since they are in a civil war all he can promise is that, he will try his best to resolve the issue and preserve the union. Lincoln talks about slavery and how God will determine whether it is moral or not by the victor of the war, along with stating other issues between the North and South. He closes by praying for lives that have been lost in the war and for peace.
